Math & AI for Girls Competition Opportunity

Hello! I want to share a wonderful opportunity for elementary and middle school girls interested in STEM, particularly math and computer science. Hosted by the nonprofit organization at MathandAI4Girls.org, this annual event empowers young women to dive into STEM, spark creativity, and build confidence through mathematics and problem solving.

This competition is completely free to enter, and it has great prizes, including cash awards for the top 20 girls and $1,000 for the winner! There is also some awesome merchandise from HPE for the top 50 competitors. Through its unique essay component, the contest also gives competitors the opportunity to explore their passion for math and share their vision of the future with artificial intelligence. Participants will have the opportunity to be a part of a great community, with potential mentorships from alumna role models and an opportunity to serve on the competition committee. 

I was a participant in this competition three years ago and I have volunteered for two years at MA4G. As a female math competitor, I enjoyed the inclusive environment MA4G created and the talented girls I have met. This competition is a great opportunity for elementary and middle school girls to dive deeper into STEM concepts while overcoming barriers in such fields. 

How to Get Started

The 2025 competition is open to elementary and middle school girls with a curiosity for math, computer science, or AI. No prior experience is required—just bring your enthusiasm and a willingness to learn! Here’s how to join:

1. Head to MathandAI4Girls.org to register and find details on deadlines and rules.

2. Brush up on math or coding if you’d like, but don’t worry—MA4G welcomes all skill levels.

3. Spread the word to friends or classmates who might want to join the fun!
