Reflecting on Our 6-Week Middle School Competition Math Session (01/13/2025 - 02/24/2025)

Updated: Mar 8

We are thrilled to announce the successful completion of our rigorous 6-week online Middle School Competition Math Program, designed to equip students with the skills and confidence to excel in prestigious contests like the AMC 8 and MATHCOUNTS. From January 13th to February 24th, 2025, our dedicated group of over 40 middle school students gathered every Monday from 8:00 PM to 9:00 PM EST via Zoom, learning about advanced mathematical concepts and problem-solving techniques. As we reflect on this first launch of Bridge2Math’s classes, we celebrate the growth, perseverance, and brilliance of our students—and look forward to diving even deeper in future sessions.

A Challenging Curriculum for Aspiring Mathletes

Over six weeks, our advanced curriculum explored a wide range of topics, from number theory and algebra to geometry, combinatorics, and probability. Each hour-long session blended new concepts with hands-on problem-solving, giving students the chance to apply their knowledge to real AMC 8 and MATHCOUNTS-style problems.

Throughout the program, we captured moments of brilliance in action. Below are screenshots from our classes illustrating proofs, working through problems, and creating vibrant diagrams. Weekly class handouts reinforced the material, while homework problems provided opportunities for practice and mastery outside of class.

Celebrating Growth and Looking Ahead

As we close this session, we’re incredibly proud of what our students have achieved. They’ve not only sharpened their mathematical toolkit but also developed the resilience and innovative thinking needed to thrive in competition settings and beyond. To the parents, thank you for supporting your child’s mathematical journey. To the students, congratulations on your dedication and success—you’ve shown that no problem is too tough to crack!

But this is just the beginning. We’re already looking forward to future sessions where we can delve deeper into even more concepts, including advanced number theory and mind-bending probability puzzles. We can’t wait to see our students continue to grow as mathematicians.

Here’s to the power of math and the brilliance of our middle schoolers—see you in the next class!
